Dal Makhani

Name of the dish and origin:

Dal Makani is an Indian dish from the Punjab region. It is bad from whole black lentils and cream.

What inspired you to make the dish:

It is a relatively common dish at restaurants. It is one we always got at restaurants, so I figured I could try to make it at home. It is also a common dish for vegetarians.

What did you like about the food:

It tasted just like at the restaurant.

What would you have done differently or how did you modify the recipe:

I didn't modify the recipe. Maybe just add a bit less cream.

What recipe did you use:

Additional Notes:

This dish traditionally goes well with chapati or paratha. I decided to make chapati.
